This is the stupidest thing i’ve ever read. Holy shit. Sure, the nuclear weapons probably weren’t ‘required’ to win the war, but it did end the war, and quickly. The Japanese weren’t going to give up. Not to mention the way the Japanese treated their POWs. The torture and disgusting acts they did almost justify the use of the atomic bombs.
Stop trying to act like the US is some uniquely terrible nation. People think saying all this makes them some special little person like “Oh, man, peace is really the way to go, etc. etc. etc.” No, just shut the fuck up. Truman wasn’t a ‘serial killer’ and neither is/was Bush.
